In Love with Western New York: Soar Through the Sky

Peek’n Peak’s (pknpk.com) aerial adventure course features 69 obstacles and eight courses of varying degrees of difficulty. But it’s the ziplines where the park really shines. The giant dual ziplines allow you to cruise 2,000 feet while the Soaring Eagle zipline lets you ride alone or with a buddy on a 1,400-foot flight. Mini golf and chairlift rides round out the summer fun. 

Holiday Valley’s Sky High Aerial Adventure Park (holidayvalley.com) is the third largest in the United States and offers a series of platforms, obstacles, bridges and ziplines constructed in a 5-acre section of the woods. More adventure can be found at the Climbing Forest’s nine trees covered with climbing holds of varying difficulty. Climbers are fitted with a harness that is clipped into an auto belay system—and away they go. Holiday Valley spokesman Dash Hegeman calls it a “3-D version of a climbing wall.” Then there’s the Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster, which zigzags down a spiraling path.
