Best of Lake Erie — Dahlia's from Colour Pop Flowers
A fifth-generation flower grower in LaSalle, Ontario, invites visitors to pick their own blooms from a vibrant acre of more than 30,000 dahlias.

A vibrant tapestry of more than 30,000 dahlias at Colour Pop Flowers in LaSalle, Ontario, stretches across an acre that Shelley Chappus dotes over to deliver one-of-a-kind varieties she cultivates on the farm. A fifth-generation flower grower, Chappus started Colour Pop a dozen years ago as a passion project. She plants the field by hand in early May, anticipating blooms in August that peak in September. “When you show people a bouquet, it’s instant magic,” she says. “Visitors can snap a picture holding our very Instagram-able ‘Big Bouquet.’” Book online to pick 10 at your own pace for $37 CAD.
